Storm captures regional title on 96.7 WBDK

For the second year in a row, the Kewaunee Storm girls basketball team will move on to sectionals after beating Oconto 65-30 Friday night for the regional championship.

After Oconto took an early 5-3 lead, the Storm took control of the game with a 16-0 run that left Blue Devils chasing their hosts for the rest of the evening. Jade Kroll was a big reason for the early success with 20 first-half points, including four three-pointers.

Breanna Riha and Summer Walechka combined for 11 points, matching the Blue Devils' lineup as the Storm entered the locker room with a 31-11 halftime lead.

Kroll's hot-shooting continued in the second half as she hit another three three-pointers to go along with a pair hit by Gabby Stangel. Both teams emptied their benches in the later stages of the game, allowing the Blue Devils fans to salute their seniors while the Storm allowed theirs to get some final minutes in their home gym.

Kroll ended her evening with a game-high 38 points while Summer Walechka added 11 points and Breanna Riha added eight points. Bella Coshenet led the Blue Devils with nine points, and Kara Termaat added eight points.

The Storm will face Manitowoc Lutheran on Thursday in the sectional semifinal. The Lancers defeated Algoma 68-29 to win the regional championship. The game will air on 96.7 WBDK from Denmark with Tim Kowols on the call. The broadcast will begin at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the tip-off at 7 p.m.

Kewaunee girls storm past Valders, face Oconto in regional final on 96.7 WBDK

Kewaunee's heralded senior class will get one more home game on Saturday after night after beating Valders 62-48 Friday night in the regional semifinals.

After the Vikings took an early lead in the opening minutes of the first half, the Storm took control of the game thanks to a 17-1 run.

The teams' top players, Kewaunee's Jade Kroll and Valders' Megan Hochkammer, went against each other all half long until Kroll suffered a minor injury with about five minutes left, allowing the Vikings to reel in the Storm and enter the locker room trailing their hosts 26-18.

Kroll returned in the second half, but it was Chevalier who helped the Storm keep a double-figure lead for much of the second half. Chevalier scored 16 of her team-high 21 points in the second half while Gabby Stangel and Kroll hit threes to stop the Vikings' runs in their tracks.

Kroll added 15 points, and Stangel chipped in 12 points to pace the Storm to victory, while Hochkammer led the Vikings with a team-high 25 points.

Seventh-seeded Oconto upset second-seeded Crivitz 59-46 to allow the Storm to host the regional final at the Storm Center Saturday at 7 p.m. The Storm knocked off the Blue Devils 56-46 on December 11th and 63-34 on January 30th. After being limited to 14 points in their first matchup, Kroll erupted for 32 points in the encore while the Storm's defense limited the Blue Devils to 40 percent shooting from the field, including 0/7 from behind the arc.

Tim Kowols will have the call on 96.7 WBDK beginning at 6:45 p.m., followed by the tip-off at 7 p.m. The winner will move on to face either Manitowoc Lutheran or Algoma in the sectional semifinal next Tuesday.

Kewaunee girls open tournament run against Valders on 96.7 WBDK

The Kewaunee girls basketball team begin their march toward the Resch Center on Friday with a meeting at home against familar tournament foe Valders.

The Storm enter the matchup on a five-game winning streak having last lost against Seymour on February 5th. They were a perfect 14-0 in the Packerland Conference and four of their five losses were by no more than seven points. Jade Kroll, who captured the program's all-time scoring record earlier this year, leads the team in scoring (23 ppg) and rebounding (5.4 rpg).  Summer Walechka has been a jack of all trades for the Storm as she is in the top three for scoring (9.6 ppg), rebounding (4 rpg), and assists (3.4 apg).

Listen to our interview with head coach Lynn Geier here

The Vikings have won three of their last five games, including a 60-27 victory over Roncalli in their tournament opener on Tuesday. In that game, the VIkings' defense held the Jets to just 25 percent shooting from the field. They are led by Megan Hochkammer, who nearly averages a double-double a game with 16.7 ppg and 9.0 rpg. She also leads the team in assists with 3.8 apg.

Since Kewaunee's senior class lost to Valders in 2023 by 24 points, the Storm have won three of the last four meetings, including a split in tournament games. Last year, the Storm came back to beat the Vikings 49-46 to capture the regional title a year after losing to Valders in the tournament 41-40. Earlier this season, Kroll scored 18 points and Braelyn Chevalier added 16 points to spoil a double-double by Hochkammer (19 points, 11 rebounds)  and lead the Storm past the Vikings 56-48.

Tim Kowols will have the call on 96.7 WBDK beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening tip at 7 p.m.

Kewaunee boys finish perfect regular season with win over Gibraltar

The Kewaunee boys basketball team will wipe the slate clean next weekend when they open the WIAA Tournament, but they finished their record-setting regular season on a high note, beating Gibraltar 81-40 in Fish Creek.

The Storm started the game off on a 9-0 run and had a 15-0 run midway through the first half that all but ensured that they would spoil the Vikings' senior night. The two teams traded buckets late to give the Storm a 45-24 lead at the break.

The two teams played closer together in the opening minutes of the second half, but the Storm were able to once again piece together a 9-0 run later with their reserves to double up their hosts.

Avery Jerabek led the Storm with 18 points while Diesel Bosdeck chipped in 15 points, and Dane Harrell added 14 points in the win. Kayin Jackson was the lone Viking to reach double figures with 12 points while Aaron Brey and Charlie Reinhardt each chipped in eight points.

While the Vikings will conclude their regular season on Saturday with a home 1 p.m. tip against Wabeno-Laona, the Storm will have a week off before they battle either Weyauwega-Fremont or Manawa next Friday in Kewaunee. The NEW Radio Sports Network will have coverage of that game on 96.7 WBDK beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening tip at 7 p.m.

Storm routs Algoma for historic win on 104.1 WRLU

History was made in Kewaunee as the Storm took down Algoma for a program-record 23rd win, 83-45, as heard on 104.1 WRLU.

Kewaunee jumped out to a 9-0 advantage to start the game and never looked back. The Storm used a second 9-0 run midway through the half to keep its foot on the gas, building the advantage to 34-17 behind the scoring efforts of Connor Kilgore and Evan Maccaux. Algoma managed to outscore Kewaunee 10-4 to close the half, heading into the break trailing 38-24.

Both teams scored on their opening possessions of the second half before Kewaunee went on a 13-0 run to put the game away. Avery Jerabek scored early and often in the second half to pace the Storm as it continued to pull away. Braeden Leist led a valiant effort to keep pace for Algoma, but Kewaunee was too much Monday night.

Kilgore led a quartet of double-digit scorers for Kewaunee with 20 points. He was joined in double figures by Maccaux with 18 points, Dane Harrell with 14 and Jerabek with 13. Leist also scored 20 points to lead Algoma and was the only double-digit scorer for the Wolves.

Kewaunee will wrap up the regular season by traveling to Gibraltar on Thursday, while Algoma will host Green Bay NEW Lutheran in its regular-season finale.

Kewaunee hosts rival Algoma on 104.1 WRLU

The final week of the regular season kicks off with a rivalry renewed, as Kewaunee hosts Algoma tonight on 104.1 WRLU.

Kewaunee earned a top seed in the WIAA Division 3 playoffs, in an already historic season, and will be looking to sweep Algoma in the season series.  The Storm are coming off a 79-42 win over Sturgeon Bay on Friday in which four players reached double figure scoring totals, led by Diesel Bosdeck's 25 points.

Algoma comes into Monday night's contest having won six in a row, including an 80-32 thrashing of Gibraltar last Friday.  Braeden Leist led all scorers in the contest with 26 points, with Parker Lischka adding 19. Head coach Eric Schneider said after the game that his team will be ready for its battle against Kewaunee.

Eric Fischer will have the call, with the pregame show slated for 6:45 pm, or at the conclusion of the JV game, whichever occurs first.  Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.

Slow start doesn't stop Kewaunee

Kewaunee trailed Sturgeon Bay midway through the first half — a position it isn’t used to at this point in the season — but closed strong and unleashed its offense in the second half for a 74-42 win.

The Clippers took a 14-13 lead nearly 10 minutes into the first half. Kewaunee answered with a 3-pointer to regain the advantage.

Despite some early offensive struggles, the Storm closed the half on a 4-0 run to take a 31-20 lead.

In the second half, Kewaunee looked like its usual self, blowing the game open and improving to 22-0.

Kewaunee has two games remaining — Algoma and Gibraltar next week — to close the regular season.

Sturgeon Bay also plays Tuesday and Thursday, facing N.E.W. Lutheran and Oconto.

Kewaunee's Niemojuski wrestles back to state tournament

Kewaunee's Arianna Niemojuski kept her streak of state appearances in her young wrestling career alive on Friday in the Waupaca Sectional with a second place finish.

Niemojuski earned pins in all three of her victories, but it was an 8-1 loss to Shiocton's Shealyn Anday that put her season on the brink. Pins in the third and second place matches earned Niemojuski a spot in the bracket for next weekend's WIAA Individual State Tournament in Madison.

Kewaunee's Niemojuski looks to keep state streak alive

She may be only in her third year of wrestling, but Kewaunee sophomore Arianna Niemojuski has already experienced plenty of success in her young career.

Dating back to her start in eighth grade, Niemojuski is looking to qualify for her third straight state tournament when she wrestles in the Waupaca Sectional on Friday.

Encouraged by her uncle, who has a background in professional wrestling, Niemojuski gave the sport a try in middle school. She credits him with teaching her how to handle the pressure she faces on the mat, especially since her lack of experience can sometimes counter her advantage in strength.

Niemojuski said she is proud of the growth she has shown in her technical skills, which has given her more confidence in matches.

After being the only girl on the team last year, Niemojuski said it has been great having Aubrey Ducat and Mariah Behrmann join her this season and find their own success on the mat.

Niemojuski will try to make her second straight trip to the Kohl Center on Friday when she competes in the Waupaca Sectional alongside fellow local wrestlers Evelyn Lange, Jakayla Steinhorst and Kiley Georgel. Action begins at 5 p.m.

Storm girls celebrate conference championship with home win

The Kewaunee girls basketball team celebrated their coronation as Packerland Conference champions with a 54-23 win over Gibraltar on Thursday night.

The Storm opened up a 19-4 advantage in the game's first eight minutes and stretched that advantage out to 37-12 at the break. While the offensive pace slowed down, the Storm still took care of business on the defensive side of the ball, holding the injury-riddled Vikings to 11 point after halftime.

Storm roll past Eagles on 104.1 WRLU

The hunt for perfection remains alive and well for the Kewaunee Storm, after rolling past Southern Door on Tuesday, with a 69-33 win as heard on 104.1 WRLU.

Kewaunee started strong, with four different players scoring the first four baskets of the game.  Southern Door matched the scoring efforts early, as Ryker Lohrey connected on a three pointer to keep pace with the Storm.  The Eagles defense made things difficult on the Kewaunee offense forcing a number of turnovers and missed shots.  Despite Southern Door's efforts though, Kewaunee still managed to take a 30-16 advantage into the locker room at halftime, with Diesel Bosdeck leading the way with 9 first half points.

Bosdeck opened the second half with a made three, followed by eight straight points from Connor Kilgore, to open the half on an 11-0 run before Southern Door got back on the scoreboard.  Even after the Eagles made a 3, Kewaunee padded its lead with another 10-0 to build the advantage and ultimately put the game out of reach.

Kilgore led the way with 20 points to pace the Storm, aided by 14 from Bosdeck, and 10 from Baylor Elliott to round out the double figure scorers.  Lohrey led Southern Door's efforts with 9 points.

The win clinches at least a share of the Packerland Conference Championship for Kewaunee. With one more win or Algoma loss, the Storm will clinch the outright title. Kewaunee will be back in action on Friday, traveling to Sturgeon Bay.

Kewaunee looks to continue perfect season on 104.1 WRLU

After setting a school record with a 20th straight win on Saturday, the Kewaunee Storm will look to continue its hunt for perfection on Tuesday night, when it faces off against Southern Door on 104.1 WRLU.

Kewaunee is coming off an 85-33 victory over Gibraltar. Leading the way was Conor Kilgore with 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists, five steals, and two blocks. Mason Kovacs added 15 points, along with a rebound, an assist, and two steals. Avery Jerabek chipped in 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, and a steal.

Southern Door’s last outing also came against Gibraltar, falling 52-51. Ryker Lohrey led the Eagles with 12 points, followed by Dawson Schwartz with 11. Lauden Berg and Talon Mueller contributed seven points apiece.

To continue the perfect season, Kewaunee will need take down Southern Door for a second time. The first time the two teams squared off, Kewaunee rolled to victory, to the tune of a 67-34 win. Dane Harrell led the way in that contest with 16 points.

Eric Fischer will have the call from Kewaunee on 104.1 WRLU.  The Door County Medical Center pregame show is slated to kickoff at 6:45, or the conclusion of the JV game, whichever occurs first, with tipoff at 7:00pm.

Storm girls capture conference title against rival Wolves

The Kewaunee girls basketball team became the Packerland Conference champions on Tuesday night after tipping Algoma 54-52 Monday night on the road.

The win came despite the Wolves losing one of their top players, Jadyn Nellis, in the opening minutes of the game. Lauren Loucks and Sadie Rikkola did waht they could to make up for their teammate's abscence in the first half with six points a piece. The Storm countered with 10 points from Jade Kroll and eight from Summer Walechka to give the team a 30-26 edge at the break.

The Wolves tightened things down on defense, allowing 24 in the second half, but could not do enough offensively to tip the scales back in their favor to prevent the coronation on their court. Kroll ended up with 24 points while Walechka added 12 points in the Storm clincher. The Wolves received 14 points from Loucks, 11 points from Reagan Schneider, and nine points apiece from Claire Gerdmann and Rikkola.

The Wolves shift their focus to Friday's matchup against Freedom while the Storm will battle Gibraltar on Thursday.

Kewaunee stays untouched with 20th win

Complementary basketball was the theme of the day for Kewaunee as they outscored GIbraltar 85-33 in a consistent offensive performance.

The halftime lead was 44-17 in favor of the Storm and they never let off the gas regardless of who touched the court.

It was controlled from the opening tip-off for Kewaunee, a 14-3 lead in the first 6 minutes before things heated up and the Storm ran away with the game.

Kewaunee remains the team to beat in Division 4 at 20-0 they will host Southern Door who's zone defense slowed the pace of their offense earlier this season. Gibraltar bounces back against Sturgeon Bay.

Tip off for both games are Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Storm and Vikings will finally play January's rescheduled game

Kewaunee (19-0) and Gibraltar (6-12) boys basketball squads will face each other in a rescheduled matchup from January and the first time the two teams face-off this season.

Sophomore Diesel Bosdeck continues to lead his undefeated Storm at 15.2 points per game and is coming off an 11-point first half against Sevastopol, a game they won 77-65, making it 19 wins in a row.

The Vikings, on the other hand, last defeated Southern Door for the second time this season leaning on a 22-point performance from Wyatt Bultman who's averaging 9.6 points per game. However, Gibraltar will also lean on senior Kayin Jackson and his impressive 17.3 point average.

Kewaunee hosts the matchup with tip-off at 7 p.m.

Strong senior send-off for Kewuanee girls

Kewaunee hosted Sturgeon Bay for their Senior Night and got to work right away ensuring their seniors would go out of the program the right way.

It will not be the final home game for the seniors and leading scorer Jade Kroll this season as post-season play will see them host at least one game, but the win is still meaningful.

Kewaunee almost put up 50 points in the first half, netting 49, on their way to a wire-to-wire, tempo controlled game and a lopsided 68-21 victory.

The pace slowed down significantly in the second half as Kewaunee controlled the game, but the Storm were resilient and remained dominant nonetheless.

Kewaunee will face Algoma on Feb 16 in a huge game with major implications that could give the Storm the opportunity to hold the Packerland Conference title all to themselves.

Sturgeon Bay will face N.E.W. Lutheran that same night, both tipping off at 7 p.m.

Kewaunee's Niemojuski wins Mishicot regional

While her teammates had to sweat out their spots in next week's sectional, Kewaunee's Arianna Niemojuski did not take any chances as she won her weight class in the Mishicot Regional on Friday.

Niemojuski pinned both of her opponents in the first period to capture the crown at 165 pounds. Meanwhile, Aubrey Ducat and Mariah Behrmann had to wrestle their way to fourth place to earn their spot, with Ducat pinning her opponent to keep her season alive.

Storm boys keep streak going against the Pioneers

The Kewaunee Storm kept their season-long winning streak rolling on the road Thursday night, beating Sevastopol 77-65.

The Pioneers did their part to keep pace with Division 4's top squad. It was 39-30 Storm at the break with Diesel Bosdeck leading Kewaunee's attack with 11 points thanks a trio of three pointers while Sevastopol's Bo Tanck scored 10 of his own in the period. The Storm were able to shake loose from the Pioneers late in the game as they were able to double their six point lead over the final three minutes of the game.

Dane Harrell led the Storm with 22 points, 14 of which came after the break. He was complemented by 15 points from Evan Maccaux and 13 points from Avery Jerabek. Tanck ended his night with 22 points for the Pioneers with Cash Kuehn (13 points), Logan Schuh (12 points) and Damien Lardinois (10 points) also hitting double figures.

The Storm will host Gibraltar on Saturday while the Pioneers travel to Green Bay on Tuesday to face NEW Lutheran.

Storm girls basketball hosting Clippers

The Kewaunee girls basketball team hosts the Sturgeon Bay Clippers on Friday.

The Storm are coming off a dominant 67-21 victory over Southern Door. Kewaunee has been led this season by senior guard Jade Kroll, who is averaging 22.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 54% from the field and 34.3% from 3-point range. The Storm are coached by Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame inductee Lynn Geier.

Sturgeon Bay is also coming off a win, defeating Gibraltar 55-41. Regan Kasten recorded a double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds, along with two assists, two steals and three blocks. Prudence Goettelman added nine points, eight rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block.

The Kewaunee girls wrestling team is set to travel to Mishicot on Friday for the WIAA regional tournament. The Storm will face wrestlers from Brillion, Denmark, Kimberly, Manitowoc, Manitowoc Lutheran, Menasha, Reedsville and Two Rivers.

The Storm are coming off a strong performance at the Green Bay Preble sectional tournament, where all three wrestlers placed second. Mariah Behrmann (114 pounds), Aubrey Ducat (120 pounds) and Arianna Niemojuski (165 pounds) all advanced to the championship round and earned silver medals.

Kewaunee presses Southern Door to its limits

In the full-court press for much of the first half, Kewaunee forced turnovers, converted on extra opportunities offensively and kept the Eagles off-balance in a big 69-21 win.

Kewaunee has been led through their offense all season allowing them to get into full-court pressure and cause havoc for opponents. The Eagles struggled with crisp passing and couldn't make opportunities when they found them.

It was a big 50-13 lead at halftime and both teams slowed down in the second as Kewaunee controlled the pace.

The Storm are in the home stretch looking to secure at least a share of the Packerland Conference title. They'll take on Sturgeon Bay this Friday and the second place Algoma Wolves Feb 16 in a key matchup at 7 p.m.

Southern Door will face N.E.W. Lutheran Friday at 7 p.m. on the road.

Storm boys travel to Peshtigo

The Kewaunee Storm boys basketball team will put its perfect conference record to the test Monday when it travels across the bay to face Peshtigo.

The Storm are a perfect 17-0 on the season, most recently defeating Algoma 65-44 behind 18 points from Diesel Bosdeck and 15 from Mason Kovacs.

Peshtigo used its defense and a strong offensive performance from Dominik Baxter to beat Gibraltar 72-45 last Friday. The Bulldogs held the Vikings scoreless from the field over the final 14-plus minutes, while Baxter scored 29 points and teammate Levi Hodgins added 17.

Peshtigo also gave Kewaunee its biggest scare of the conference season, as the Storm escaped with a 61-57 overtime win. Baxter accounted for 33 of the Bulldogs’ 57 points, while Bosdeck (16 points), Connor Kilgore (15) and Avery Jerabek (12) all scored in double figures for Kewaunee.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

Kewaunee's Kroll sets all-time mark in win

After dropping a close matchup with Seymour, Kewaunee responded Saturday with a confident 86-20 win over Sevastopol.

It ties a season high in points scored for the Storm as the offense came out of the opening tip off firing on all cylinders. Jade Kroll made her own mark in the game, becoming the school's all-time leading scorer.

Defensively, they forced turnovers by the Pioneers often and left them out of system leading to missed opportunites and shots.

Kewaunee gets win number 15 on the season and bounces back from the loss against Seymour.

The Storm will face Southern Door Tuesday while Sevastopol will host Reedsville both tipping off at 7 p.m.

Kewaunee offense continues to set pace in undefeated season

The Storm, now ranked first, kept their offensive attack rolling with a 88-40 win over the Blue Devils Friday.

They have topped 75 points in their last 5 games without slowing down against Oconto. Kewaunee (17-0) has used efficient shooting paired with strong defense to make their mark this season.

While they didn't need a second half comeback Friday night, the Storm are still improving with every minute of basketball they play this season and look to continue rolling into the end of the regular season.

Kewaunee faces Peshtigo Monday at 7 p.m. While the Storm have won 17-straight, the Bulldogs also have a strong streak of their own at 7 straight games. A good matchup coming Monday.

Storm girls basketball to host Pioneers

The Kewaunee girls' basketball team will host the Sevastopol Pioneers this Saturday.
The Storm remain unbeaten in conference play and sit in first place in the Packerland Conference. The Pioneers are in fifth place with a 4-7 record against conference opponents.

Kewaunee is looking to rebound from a 51-47 loss to Seymour.

Sevastopol is coming off a 52-25 win over Gibraltar. Luna Ramirez led the way with 16 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Braelyn Staats added 12 points and eight rebounds, while Sienna Cain chipped in 11 points, six rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocks.

Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.

Patience a virtue for Kewaunee's Kraynik

While Kewaunee's Sam Kraynik will certainly get his fair of matches at this weekend's Willard Schmidt Invitational at Green Bay Preble High School, it is not always a gurantee that making weight will get you a match.

Kraynik is no stranger to the sport, working his way up the ladder since he joined Kewaunee's youth wrestling program as a kindergartener. He said he had a lot of energy as a kid growing up and wrestling was his parents' way of helping him burn it off.

As he's gotten older, matches are a little harder to come by compared to some of his other teammates. At 17-7, Kraynik is productive when he can compete with bonus points coming in 13 of those victories. At duals, Kraynik has either had to accept a forfeit (which he has done seven times this season) or wrestle up a weight class to get a match. Whenever his opportunity comes, Kraynik says he tries to make the most of it.

Kraynik and his Kewaunee teammates travel to Green Bay to face Ashwaubenon, Bay Port, De Pere, Denmark, Fox Valley Lutheran, Freedom, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay West, Luxemburg-Casco, Manitowoc Lincoln, Marathon, Menasha, Peshtigo, Pulaski, Seymour, Shawano Community, Sheboygan North, Sheboygan South, Southern Door, Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol, and Xavier. The first matches are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. You can listen to the entire interview as a part of the Kewaunee County Wrestling Podcast sponsored by Total Dairy Service.

Top-ranked Storm boys' basketball traveling to face Blue Devils

The undefeated Kewaunee boys’ basketball team will travel to Oconto on Friday to face the Blue Devils.

Oconto is looking to bounce back from a 54-44 loss to Gibraltar.

Kewaunee is the No. 1-ranked team in Division 4 with a 16-0 record. The Storm are coming off an 81-77 win over No. 5 Bonduel.

Five players scored in double figures, led by Conor Kilgore with 19 points. Diesel Bosdeck had 16, Dane Harrel added 14, Avery Jerabek scored 12, and Mason Kovacs finished with 11.

Tipoff is at 7 p.m.

Storm wrestling splits local duals

The Kewaunee wrestling team split their final two duals of the season on Friday, falling to Luxemburg-Casco 74-3 while topping Southern Door 45-18.

With plenty of forfeits to go around, only a few wrestlers had multiple contested. Of those, Mitchell Boeder was the only wrestler to go undefeated on the day with a pin and a decision.

Kewaunee's Boeder, Paulsen sign National Letters of Intent

Two of Kewaunee's top athletes made it official on Wednesday where they will take their athletic journey next.

Kewaunee's Mitchell Boeder will continue his football career at Bemidji State. His senior football season ended with him becoming a two-time team captain, four-time varsity letter winner, two-time unanimous first-team defensive lineman, two-time first-team offensive lineman, two-time Packerland Offensive Lineman of the Year, two-time all-region offensive lineman and an All-State offensive lineman.

Boeder's quarterback that he blocked for is also going onto the next level, albeit in a different sport. Brett Paulsen signed his NLI to play baseball at UW-Parkside. A major piece of last year's state runner-up squad, Paulsen threw 51.2 innings, going 8-1 with an 0.68 ERA according to Prep Baseball, earning him All-Packerland and All-State honors.

After a hiccup against Manitowoc Lutheran last week, Kewaunee wasn't messing around on the road at Peshtigo Tuesday night. They came out of the gates firing on all cylinders and despite not playing their best defense, led 54-32 at the break.

In the second half, the defense shut down the Bulldogs while the offense kept rolling to the tune of a 20-1 run over the first 10 minutes in the second half.

Kewaunee slammed the door and left no room for second guessing as they won 79-40.

The Storm will face a different weather system, the Seymour Thunder, on Thursday Feb. 5 with a 7 p.m. tip off.
