Kewaunee continues state push against Kiel

The Kewaunee Storm hopes to continue their quest to play at the Resch Center next weekend when it battles the Kiel Raiders Thursday night in the WIAA Division 3 Sectional Semifinal. The Storm come into the game on a 13-game winning streak, including a sweep of regionals last weekend against Brillion and Sheboygan Falls. Michigan Tech recruit Sara Dax is a big reason why the Storm are having the season they are, averaging 21.5 points a game while also grabbing about nine rebounds and dishing out over 3  assists a game. Teammate Mackenzie Tlachac follows Dax in the same statistical categories, averaging 15.2/5.0/2.9. The Raiders punched their ticket to sectionals winning their final six games including victories in regionals over Cedar Grove-Belgium and on the road at Valders. The Storm will look to slow down Savannah Walsdorf, who averages almost 15 points a game along with six rebounds.

Thursday’s sectional semifinal between the Storm and the Raiders is slated to take place at Denmark beginning at 7 p.m.
