Kewaunee alum accepts Senior Bowl invite

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Kewaunee alum and current Wisconsin Badgers offensive lineman Tanor Bortolini has committed to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl in early 2024.

The Senior Bowl is set to be played on February 3rd in Mobile, Alabama, and it is usually the first sign of a player having pro football aspirations. NFL officials use the game and practices leading up to it to evaluate players. Bortolini started all 12 games this season at center after playing previously at guard and tackle during his Badgers tenure. He is also slated to play in the Badgers' final game of the season against LSU in the Reliaquest Bowl.

As a member of the Storm, he was on the All-Packerland Team several times and earned multiple lineman of the year awards.

Two of the top scorers in the Packerland Conference dueled on Thursday, with Thomas Stangel lifting the Kewaunee Storm past the Braden Sitte-led Gibraltar Vikings 64-48.

The Storm led by 10 at the break and had an answer to every Vikings' run at trying to close the gap. Thomas Stangel made sure of that, scoring a game-high 34 points, but he also got a strong performance from Anthony Jerabek, who scored 25 points of his own to push the Storm to victory. Sitte was the only Vikings player to reach double-figures for the second straight game as he scored 25 points. Liam Lindenberg added six points and Kayin Jackson chipped in five points in the second straight loss for the Vikings. Head coach Travis Ward was proud of his team for the effort, saying that they played hard. He added that every time his team went on the run, the Storm would have an answer or force his team into a bad decision.
