Kewaunee boys face tough task against Oconto

Two conference heavyweights will face each other Thursday night when Kewaunee welcomes Oconto.

The Storm were able to come back from two points down at the break to notch a 59-51 against the Shiocton Chiefs Tuesday in a non-conference matchup. Thomas Stangel led the way for Kewaunee with 20 points, while Braxton Riha added 17 more. It was a critical bounceback win after seeing a three-game winning streak get snapped by Freedom on Saturday.

The Blue Devils stood tall against a late run by Gibraltar to win their last game 59-49. Carter Koch would keep the Vikings at a distance, ending his evening with 27  points, while Trenton Hartman added nine points, and three others scored at least five points. The Blue Devils sit on the top of the Packerland Conference with a 3-0 record, with Southern Door and Kewaunee tied for second at 2-0.

Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
