Southern Door, Kewaunee, Sevastopol, Gibraltar and Algoma were all represented at the WIAA Division 3 Sectional as athletes competed for spots at next week's WIAA State Track and Field Championships in La Crosse. Team-wise, Southern Door's boys finished eighth and girls sixth, while Kewaunee's girls placed fourth overall with 48 points.

Kewaunee's Hannah Miller qualified in both the 800-meter run (1st) and 1,600-meter run (2nd), while the Storm's 4x400 relay team of Natalie Miller, Noelie El Kout, Kaylyn Martin and Hannah Miller claimed a sectional title. Natalie Miller also advanced with a second-place finish in pole vault.

Southern Door will send a large group to state, led by Grant Pieschek (pole vault), Lauden Berg (long jump, triple jump), Elise Jackson (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles), Frankie Nellis (long jump) and the girls 4x800 relay team. Sevastopol's Cash Kuehn qualified in both the high jump and triple jump, Gibraltar's Azucena Jauregui advanced in the 300 hurdles, and Algoma's Cooper Fay and Estella Marrero both earned state berths in pole vault.

The Kewaunee baseball team will now focus on going 6-0 over the next three weeks after completing a perfect regular season on Thursday with a 3-1 win over Manitowoc.

The Storm struck right away at Manitowoc's Municipal Field, scoring twice in the first inning courtesy of an error and a sacrifice fly from Connor Kilgore. The Ships cut the lead in half in the second inning and the game stayed that way until the seventh inning when Diesel Bosdeck's RBI single gave the Storm some breathing room. The Ships would put the winning run at the plate with two outs before Jackson Walecka finished the job to earn the save.

The Storm outhit the Ships 9-3 with Waylon Delain going 3-4 while Brett Paulsen and Bosdeck each had two hits. Paulsen earned the win, allowing one run (1 ER) on two hits while striking out four across three innings. 

The Storm will face a familar foe in their tournament opener on Tuesday when Peshtigo comes barking in Kewaunee. The Bulldogs were swept in a doubleheader by the Storm on May 9th, dropping game one 12-0 before just missing a split with a 5-4 defeat. They enter the matchup on a four-game winning streak.

The Kewaunee girls soccer team will look to bounce back quickly Friday afternoon when they host Roncalli.

The Storm suffered another lopsided loss on Thursday, falling 7-0 to Manitowoc Lutheran. Midfielder/defender Sofia Torres led the Storm with five shots on goal and 20 tackles.

Friday's match against the Jets begins at 4:30 p.m.

The Storm aim to bounce back from a 3-0 loss to United. Before this game, the Storm picked up their inaugural win of the season, taking down Peshtigo 1-0.

Kewaunee rolled past Valders 11-4 Tuesday at Memorial Field, using a five-run second inning to flip the game and cruise to the win.

Kewaunee drew 10 walks and stole 10 bases, with Schaller and Kilgore each swiping multiple. Noah Hudson went five innings on the mound to earn the win.

The Storm will travel to Manitowoc Lincoln on Thursday.

Kewaunee's softball season came to an end Tuesday in regional play, falling to Brillion 9-3 despite out-hitting the Lions nine to eight.

The Storm led 3-2 heading into the fifth but Brillion blew it open with a seven-run inning to end any hope of a comeback. Addyson Feldcamp's three-run double was the big blow. Jocelyn Tamm was dominant all day for Brillion, striking out 10 over seven innings to earn the win.

London Karnopp went 3-for-4 with two RBIs to lead Kewaunee, and Ali Repitz held Brillion to two runs over five innings before the fifth inning unraveled.

It wasn't the ending the Storm wanted, but Kewaunee put together a strong season and gave everything they had until the final out.

Gibraltar survived a wild one Tuesday, holding off Bonduel 11-8 in a back-and-forth baseball game to move to 18-6 on the season.

The lead changed hands multiple times before the Vikings finally put it away for good. Cam Munao was the difference maker, going 4-for-4 with a two-run homer in the fourth and a two-run single in the seventh to finish with four RBIs. Hobbs Emerson matched him with four RBIs of his own, including a go-ahead double in the sixth, and also earned the win in relief. Owen Dannhausen went 3-for-4 with two doubles to keep the offense rolling as Gibraltar piled up 13 hits.

Bonduel made it interesting, rallying to retake the lead in the fifth before Gibraltar answered right back. Carter Beilfuss led the Bears with two RBIs and Beckett Hartlaben swiped four of Bonduel's five stolen bases, but it wasn't enough to hold off the Vikings down the stretch.

A new season for the Kewaunee softball team begins on Tuesday with a WIAA Regional Semifinal matchup against Brillion.

The Kewaunee baseball team hopes it can keep its season-long winning streak alive this week with a pair of WIAA Tournament tune-ups, including Tuesday's home game against Valders. 

On Saturday, Kewaunee jumped on Luxemburg-Casco early and never let up, rolling to an 8-1 win behind Jackson Walecka’s seven-strikeout performance over five innings. Diesel Bosdeck went 3-for-4 with two RBIs to lead the Kewaunee offense, and Waylon Delain and Connor Kilgore each drove in two as well. Ethan Werner’s solo homer in the first was a bright spot for the Spartans and drove in their only run. 

The VIkings are 8-10 on the season, but have rattled off four straight wins since its 8-5 loss to Kiel on May 14th.

They finish the regular season 16-10 and await the seeding for the start of the WIAA State Softball Tournament. 

Brett Paulsen was untouchable Tuesday in Crivitz, throwing five perfect hitless innings with 11 strikeouts as the Storm baseball team rolled to a 16-0 win and kept their unbeaten record intact at 22-0.

Kewaunee jumped on Crivitz early and never let up. Diesel Bosdeck's two-run double got things going in the first, and Calvin Kolmorgen added two more with a double of his own. Connor Kilgore tripled home two in the second to keep the pressure on before the Storm put the game away with eight runs in the fifth. Dane Harrell, Landon LaTour, and Micah Vanness all had big hits in the inning.

Kewaunee finished with 14 hits and no errors, with Temme, Vanness, Bosdeck, and Harrell each collecting two hits. Bosdeck, Kilgore, Kolmorgen, and Harrell each drove in two runs.

The Storm travel to Luxemburg-Casco on Saturday.

The Kewaunee softball team will put some of the final touches on their 2026 regular season on Tuesday when they head to Crivitz.

The Storm shut out in Sturgeon Bay 15-0 and 21-0 to close out Packerland Conference play.  In game one, Breanna Riha went 3-3 and five RBI as she finished a double short of the cycle. Mariah and Cora Schlies also posted multi-RBI days as they outhit the Clippers 10-2. In game two, Riha ended up a triple shy of the cycle, going 4-5 with six RBI to lead the Storm. Riha and Vivian Bootz both homered in the game as they combine to drive in 11 of the 21 runs. Kambreia Last, Ali Repitz, Summer Walechka, and London Karnopp also had multi-RBI games as the Storm banged out 14 hits. All but four of the runs came in the fourth inning.

The Wolverines are 19-4 on the season and have won three of their last four games, including a 10-1 victory over Coleman on Thursday.

First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.

Mitchell Boeder, Chyanne Robinson, and Hannah Miller accounted for seven of the Kewaunee track teams' eight event wins Monday night at the Packerland Conference Championships.

Miller won the 400m, 800m, and 1600m races while Robinson won the discus and was a part of the first-place 4x100m relay to lead the girls squad. The team also picked up a win in the 4x400m relay that featured Kaylyn Martin, Penelope Gerold, Addison Kudick, and Natalie Miller. On the boys' side, Boeder won the shot put with a personal best and the discus.

The winning streak continues for Kewaunee, but it took a late inning comeback to beat Coleman by a 7-5 score, as heard on 104.1 WRLU. 

Coleman struck first, plating 3 runs on a single swing, as Kollin Peters launched a long ball over the left field fence. The Storm struck back in the bottom of the frame, as Dane Harrell, Connor Kilgore, and Blake Temme each drove in a run, tying the game at 3-3 after the 1st.  Coleman added a single run in both the 2nd and 3rd, grabbing a 5-3 lead, while keeping Kewaunee off the bases in the middle frames.  

Things turned around drastically in the bottom of the 5th, when Calvin Kolmorgen led the frame off with a leadoff single.  Mason Kovacs reached on an error, and Brett Paulsen singled to load the bases.  Waylon Delain drove in 2 to tie the game on a single, but was retired when Diesel Bosdeck grounded into a fielder's choice. Bosdeck and Paulsen came in to score, on a single by Harrell, as Kewaunee grabbed its first lead of the game 7-5.  

Delain worked 6+ innings but ran into a jam in the 7th, giving up back to back singles to start the final inning of play. Manager Dan Spranger brought in his ace, Brett Paulsen to close out the game, and retired the next three batters in a row, finishing the game with a strikeout of Peters.  

Kewaunee will travel north for to face off against another M&O Conference opponent, when it plays the Crivitz Wolverines.

The Kewaunee and Door County United will renew pleasantries on the soccer pitch when they face each other in Kewaunee for a 4:30 p.m. match.

Earlier this year, the United garnered the 3-0 win over the Storm. Delayna Winnekens was peppered in net for the Storm, making 15 saves on the night. 

In more recent action, the Storm lost to Denmark 8-0 and had a match against Peshtigo get canceled. Their win over Kewaunee was the United's last match after Peshtigo cancled their match against them as well. Their victory snapped a two-match losing streak.

Two of the areas top teams are set to square off as the final week of the 2026 regular season kicks off, when Coleman travels to Kewaunee for a nonconference matchup that will be heard on 104.1 WRLU. 

Last week, the Kewaunee Storm locked up its 4th straight Packerland Conference title, and secured an undefeated conference record.  That accomplishment, along with undefeated Packerland Conference records in both football and boys basketball marked the first time in school history that feat had been reached. With league play wrapped up, the Storm kept the pedal on the gas, knocking off  Bonduel 11-6 on Friday.  

Coleman comes into today's contest having won 6 of its last 7 games, per MaxPreps, but the one loss coming in its last contest, a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the M&O Conference leading Crivitz Wolverines last Thursday.  Coincidentally, Crivitz and Kewaunee are set to face off on Tuesday afternoon.  

Eric Fischer will have the call, with the pregame show slated for 4:15 pm and first pitch at 4:30. 

The Storm jumped on Bonduel early and never looked back Friday at home, rolling to an 11-6 win.

Kewaunee put up five runs in the second inning to blow it open, with Micah Vanness and Brett Paulsen doing the damage early. Paulsen finished with three RBIs on two hits, and Vanness added a two-run homer in the fourth to cap the scoring. Blake Temme and Calvin Kolmorgen each chipped in two hits as the Storm collected nine on the day and drew six walks.

Jackson Walecka handled things on the mound, going five innings and striking out seven while allowing just two earned runs.

Bonduel had 10 hits and Jack Zernicke led the way with three RBIs, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Storm’s offense.

The Kewaunee baseball team will take a break from the Packerland Conference to battle Bonduel at home on Friday.

Earlier this week, the Storm swept Sturgeon Bay in a doubleheader on Tuesday at Kewaunee High School, winning game one 12-2 before rolling in game two 13-3. Connor Kilgore was the story in the opener, going 3-for-3 with four RBIs including a two-run homer to center in the fourth. Brett Paulsen dealt on the mound, striking out 10 over five innings while allowing just three hits and two runs. Diesel Bosdeck's three-run double in the second blew the game open, and the Storm never looked back. Kewaunee finished with 12 hits and five stolen bases without committing an error. The Storm kept it rolling in game two, jumping on Sturgeon Bay early and never letting up in a 13-3 win. Waylon Delain earned the win on the mound, going four innings and striking out four. Kilgore and Delain each went 2-for-2 at the plate, while Noah Hudson and Landon LaTour each drove in three runs. Kewaunee drew 10 walks and stole four bases on the day.

The Bears enter the matchup 14-4 and coming off a 2-0 loss to Wittenberg after splitting a pair with reigning state champion Pacelli. 

First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.

The Kewaunee golf team made history on Thursday as they won their first ever Packerland Conference title at Wander Springs GC in Greenleaf. 

Senior Evan Maccaux once again led the storm from the tee box, taking first at the Conference Tournament, which was his 12th consecutive Packerland Conference win with a score of 74. It elevated him to his third Player of The Year honor in a row, a Packerland Conference first. Briggs Karnopp (6th), and Baylor Elliott (5th) also earned First Team honors.

The Storm won the meet with a score of 357, 12 strokes better than second-place Sevastopol led by Marek O'Dean's 85. Sturgeon Bay's Noah Potier (86), Gibraltar's Henry Wehrenberg (89), and Southern Door's Luke Reinhardt paced their respective teams in the meet.

The Kewaunee girls soccer is still looking for its first win of the season after falling to Denmark 8-0 on Thursday.

Delayna Winnekens withstood a ton of pressure during the match in the goalmouth, stopping 28 of the 36 shots on goal she faced.

Breanna Riha was simply unstoppable Tuesday as the Storm shut out the Clippers twice, 15-0 and 21-0.

Riha did a little bit of everything in the opener, tripling home two in the first, launching a two-run shot to center in the second, and adding an RBI single in the third to finish with five RBIs. Mariah Schlies chipped in with a sacrifice bunt that scored two, and Cora Schleis doubled home two more during a six-run third.

Ali Repitz handled the circle, tossing four scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Vivian Bootz swiped three of the Storm's five stolen bases as Kewaunee rolled to 10 hits without an error.

Game two was even more lopsided. Kewaunee sent the lineup around multiple times in a monster 17-run fourth inning that ended any doubt. Riha had six RBIs on four hits including two doubles and a homer. Bootz opened the scoring with a solo shot in the first and finished with multiple hits, as did Repitz and London Karnopp. 

Repitz was just as sharp in the circle in game two, going four innings and striking out six while allowing four hits and zero runs. The Storm drew 13 walks and finished with 14 hits.

Kewaunee travels to Crivitz on Tuesday.

The Kewaunee girls soccer team is still looking for their first win of the season after dropping its Monday night match to Door County United 3-0. 

Delayna Winnekens was peppered in net for the Storm, making 15 saves on the night.

No scoring stats were provided.

The Storm are back in action on Tuesday when they welcome Sturgeon Bay for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff. The Clippers extended its winning streak to seven matches Friday night with a 1-0 victory over Fox Valley Lutheran. The lone goal came from freshman Jericha Reynolds. The United will play a host to a second straight match when Green Bay West comes to town for a 5 p.m. match.

Kewaunee's Evan Maccaux once again paced the field at the seventh Packerland Conference golf meet of the season to lead his team to the six-stroke victory.

Maccaux shot a meet-best 38 to help the Storm shoot a 178, which was ahead of second-place Sturgeon Bay (184) and third-place Gibraltar and Peshtigo (188). Gibraltar's Henry Wehrenberg took second with a score of 41 while Sevastopol's Chase Kanapka shot a 43. Sturgeon Bay's Trygg Stuth (45) and Southern Door's Jack Jeanquart (49) led their respective teams.

The Kewaunee softball team will dip their toes back into non-conference play on Monday when they welcome Wrightstown. 

The Storm claimed the first game 3-2 behind timely hitting and strong pitching from Ali Repitz and Breanna Riha. Repitz earned the win after allowing two runs on five hits over four innings while striking out five. Riha tossed three scoreless innings in relief to secure the victory. Kewaunee collected 10 hits in the opener, led by Riha and Vivian Bootz with two apiece. Schleis, Last and Repitz each drove in runs, while the Storm played error-free defense. Peshtigo responded with a 9-3 win in the nightcap behind a 15-hit performance. Repitz and Vivian Bootz each drove in runs for Kewaunee. The Storm finished with six hits. 

The Tigers enter the matchup with a 13-7 record, including a 3-3 record in their last six games. They snapped a two-game losing skid with a 19-1 win over Sturgeon Bay after being shutout 7-0 by Southern Door.

First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.

Another doubleheader sweep on Saturday gave the Kewaunee Storm baseball team its share of the Packerland Conference crown and a major milestone for manager Daniel Spranger.

In its 12-0 win over Peshtigo, the Storm jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning with Connor Kilgore's two-run double the frame's biggest blow. The Storm later added three runs in the third inning, and four more in the fourth inning to end the game after five innings. Dane Harrell had two doubles and Calvin Kolmorgen had one of his own while Diesel Bosdeck had a pair of triples. Bosdeck had went 3-3 with three RBI while Waylon Delain also drove in three runs to go along with his two hits. Brett Paulsen allowed no runs on one hit in three innings of work, striking out seven to earn the win.

In a close 5-4 victory over the Bulldogs, the Storm trailed their hosts 2-1 heading into the third inning before scoring four runs thanks in part to three errors. The Bulldogs would inch closer with single tallies in the fourth and fifth innings, but they could not overtake the Storm to deal them their first loss of the season. Paulsen and Bosdeck each had two hits, helping Delain secure the win on the mound as he allowed three runs (1 ER) on four hits while striking out seven.

The Storm will host Sturgeon Bay for a doubleheader on Tuesday. Eric Fischer will have the call for game two of the doubleheader beginning at 5:30 p.m. on 104.1 WRLU.

Kewaunee Softball split a doubleheader with Peshtigo on Friday, winning a tight pitcher’s duel in the opener before falling in the second game.

Kewaunee briefly took a 2-1 lead in the first inning after Last doubled to center field and another run scored on a dropped third strike. Peshtigo regained control in the third inning on RBI doubles from Neela Sotka and Katie Olson.

Sotka earned the complete-game win, allowing three runs over seven innings. Repitz and Vivian Bootz each drove in runs for Kewaunee.

The Storm finished with six hits, while Peshtigo was led by Sotka and Russell, who each had three hits and three RBIs.

The Kewaunee girls’ soccer team is on the road this Saturday as they are facing the Providence Academy/Green Bay NEW Lutheran Paladins at Providence Academy.

The Storm are still looking to pick up their inaugural win of the season, most recently falling to Roncalli/Two Rivers 7-0.

The Storm aims to build off a pair of wins, sweeping Gibraltar/Washington Island in a doubleheader. The first game saw the Storm taking a commanding 11-1 victory. During the first inning, the Storm took an 8-0 lead, highlighted by a two-run home run hit by Diesel Bosdeck. The second game was similar, seeing Kewaunee set the pace early with a six-run first inning. Dane Harrell and Mason Kovacs each knocked in a run, and Blake Temme had a two-RBI double in the frame. The Storm added three runs in the top of the second, highlighted by a Connor Kilgore RBI triple.

The Kewaunee girls track team added more hardware to their trophy case on Thursday by winning the Peshtigo Invitational.

The Storm scored 140 points, 29 points more than second-place Oconto Falls thanks to first place performances by Hannah Miller (400m, 800m, part of 4x800m relay) and several top three performance. The boys finished in the middle of the pack, led by win by the 4x800m relay and Mitchell Boeder (shot put and discus).

The Kewaunee track and field team is traveling to Peshtigo this Thursday for an invitational meet. The Storm will be met there by Carney-Nadeau Public, Crivitz, Lena, Marinette, Menominee (MI), Menominee Indian, Oconto, Oconto Falls, and Suring.

The Storm last ran at the Oconto Falls Invitational, which saw the girls' team take home gold. They held a 20-point edge on their hosts with 121 points, with Hannah Miller (800m, 1600m, and triple jump), Alison Kuehl (100m hurdles), Natalie Miller (pole vault), and the 4x400m relay taking home wins. The boys were edged from the top of the podium in several events with second-place finishes from Joseph Schlies(800m), 4x800m relay, and Mitchell Boeder (shot put and discus).

The meet begins at 3:30 p.m.
 

The Luxemburg-Casco and Kewaunee girls track and field teams will travel Friday for an invitational meet in Two Rivers. They will compete against Valders and Denmark.

The Spartans last competed at their home meet Thursday, where they finished second behind Southern Door. Sienna Blohowiak won the 400-meter dash, while Claire DuChateau took gold in the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs.

Kewaunee last competed at the Oconto Falls Invitational, where the girls team won the meet. The Storm finished with 121 points, 20 ahead of host Oconto Falls. Hannah Miller won the 800-meter run, 1,600-meter run and triple jump; Alison Kuehl won the 100-meter hurdles; Natalie Miller won the pole vault; and the 1,600-meter relay team also took first.

The meet begins at 4 p.m.

The Kewaunee Storm came out on top at the Packerland Conference Mini-Meet hosted by Sturgeon Bay at Cherry Hills Golf Course Tuesday, posting a team score of 187 to claim first place.

Evan MacCaux led the way for Kewaunee with a 41, good for the lowest round of the day. Baylor Elliott added a 46, Briggs Karnopp shot 49, and Stuart Annen rounded out the scoring with a 51.

Sevastopol finished second as a team with a 192. Marek O'Dean and Mason O'Dean both shot 48, Chase Kanapka and Graham Killenberg each carded a 49 and 50 respectively, with Anthony Estevez shooting 53.

Sturgeon Bay came in third at 197 as the host school. Caleb Nielsen led the Clippers with a 46, followed by Ashton Benzinger at 49, Noah Potier at 50, Aiden Benzinger at 52, and Trygg Stuth at 54.

Gibraltar finished fifth with a 209. Henry Wehrenberg paced the Vikings with a 45, Jameson Tepe shot 49, Bairen Lhost carded a 56, Sam Busalacchi a 59, and Giovanni Mercier a 62.

Southern Door came in seventh with a 227. Jack Jeanquart led the Eagles with a 49, Vance Krauel shot 55, Cruz Anschutz 59, Emiah Defere 64, and Eli Jadin 66.

Kewaunee Storm softball had no trouble with Gibraltar on Tuesday, sweeping the doubleheader 15-0 and 17-1.

Game one was over early. Kewaunee put up three in the first and then exploded for 11 in the third to put it out of reach. Summer Walechka and Ali Repitz each drove in three runs, and Repitz was sharp in the circle too, tossing four scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Vivian Bootz added three stolen bases and the Storm drew 11 walks on the day.

Game two was more of the same. Kewaunee jumped on Gibraltar early and kept piling on, finishing with 13 hits and winning 17-1. Mariah Schlies was the offensive star, going 4-for-5 with three RBIs. Breanna Riha earned the win in the circle, striking out seven over six innings while allowing just one run.

Gibraltar committed a ton of errors in both games and the Storm made them pay every single time.

Kewaunee heads to Peshtigo Friday with first pitch at 4:30.

It was a tough night for a Storm squad that has struggled to find consistency in what is being called a rebirth season for the program. Kewaunee has been outscored 61-2 on the year, with both of their goals coming from Brenda Cuevas-Tapia in a 4-2 loss to Peshtigo earlier this season.

Roncalli improves to 3-4 with the shutout win.

After cruising to an 11-1 win in the opening contest of a Packerland Conference doubleheader, the Kewaunee Storm kept the momentum going, sailing to an 18-2 win over Gibraltar/Washington Island on the stern of the twinbill, as heard on 104.1 WRLU.  

Acting as the road team in Game 2, Kewaunee set the pace early with a six-run first inning. Dane Harrell and Mason Kovacs each knocked in a run, and Blake Temme had a two-RBI double in the frame. The Storm added three runs in the top of the second, highlighted by a Connor Kilgore RBI triple.

Despite some traffic on the bases in the third, Kewaunee was held scoreless. Waylon Delain retired the first eight batters he faced to start the game but ran into trouble in the third as the Vikings rallied for five straight two-out hits. RBI singles from Aaron Brey and Owen Dannhausen cut the Storm lead to 9-2.

Kewaunee responded with six runs in the fourth, paced by an RBI hit from Brett Paulsen and a two-RBI single by Noah Hudson. Paulsen drove in another run in the top of the fifth on a groundout, while Calvin Kolmorgen added an RBI single in the inning to extend the advantage to 18-2. Hudson then worked a 1-2-3 bottom of the fifth to close out the game.

Kewaunee will be back in action Saturday when it travels to Peshtigo for a doubleheader. Gibraltar/Washington Island will return home for a twinbill against Oconto.

The Kewaunee girls soccer team looks to make more strides on Tuesday night when they travel to Manitowoc to face Roncalli/Two Rivers.

Before falling to Sturgeon Bay 9-0 on Monday, the Storm scored their first two goals of their rebirth season against Peshtigo in a 4-2 loss. Brenda Cuevas-Tapia tallied both goals for the Storm.

The Jets are 2-4 on the season, including a 4-1 loss to New Holstein on Saturday.

First touch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

The wins keep coming for the Kewaunee golf team as their entry for the Sturgeon Bay Scramble found itself on top of the leaderboard.

The foursome of Elliott, Karnopp, MacCaux, Annen finished in first with a score of 66 with just six strokes separating them from the next nine teams. Sevastopol was one stroke back, Peshtigo two strokes back, Luxemburg-Casco 1 three strokes back and Luxemburg-Casco 2 was four strokes back to complete the top 5.

Cherry Hills Golf Course will be the site of Tuesday's Packerland Conference meet, which begins at 4 p.m.

Power may have been issue for the broadcast but it wasn't an issue for Seymour's softball squad, as the Thunder took down Kewaunee 11-4 on Monday night.  

Seymour used a pair of four run innings, including a three run homer by Adde Smith, pacing the Thunder offense in the win.  Kewaunee's Braelyn Chevalier hit a home run of her own, part of a multi-hit night, where she was responsible for driving in 3 of Kewaunee's 4 runs.  Ali Repitz was tagged with the loss for Kewaunee. 

The Storm will be back in action tomorrow evening, hosting a doubleheader against Gibraltar/Washington Island.  The Vikings are coming off a doubleheader sweep of Sturgeon Bay last Friday, beating their visitors 17-7 and 15-10.

Spring sports present a big enough challenge battling the elements, but Monday night will put this directly to the test on the softball diamond, when the Kewaunee Storm travel to face the Seymour Thunder, which will be broadcast on 104.1 WRLU. 

The Storm come into the week with an 11-7 record, per MaxPreps, having dropped a doubleheader against Southern Door late last week after sweeping Algoma earlier. In game one of their doubleheader against the Eagles, Ali Repitz took the loss for the Storm, allowing three runs (2 ER) on four hits. Vivian Bootz and Breanna Riha each had two hits while Kambreia Last had the lone RBI. In game two, Riha suffered the loss for the storm, allowing 10 runs (4 ER) on nine hits in the opening inning. Last, Riha, and Braelyn Chevalier registered the lone hits for the Storm in the lopsided loss.

Across the diamond will be the Seymour Thunder, with an 10-2 record per MaxPreps.  Seymour has won 8 in a row, including wins over Notre Dame, New London, Winneconne, and Shawano last week.  

Eric Fischer will have the call from Seymour High School, with the pregame show slated for 4:45 pm and first pitch to follow at 5pm.  

Kewaunee completed a dominant doubleheader sweep of Southern Door on Friday, using overpowering pitching in the opener and an explosive offensive outburst in the nightcap to secure 10-0 and 15-2 victories.

In the first game, Kewaunee combined for a no-hitter as Brett Paulsen and Jackson Walecka blanked Southern Door in a 10-0 win. Paulsen was dominant on the mound, striking out 16 over six hitless innings while giving up two walks. Walecka closed out the game with a scoreless seventh.

Kewaunee's offense heated up in the fourth inning, scoring three runs, and never looked back while piling up 14 hits. Paulsen also led the offense with three hits, while Blake Temme, Micah Vanness, Noah Hudson and Diesel Bosdeck each drove in two runs. The Storm also ran wild on the base path with six stolen bases.

Southern Door’s Chase Massart took the loss, allowing four runs over four-plus innings.

Kewaunee carried that momentum into the second game, erupting for 10 runs in the second inning on the way to a 15-2 victory.

Dane Harrell led the charge, driving in four runs on three hits, including a three-run home run. The Storm sent a barrage of hitters to the plate in the second inning, capitalizing on timely hits, a hit batter and a sacrifice fly to break the game open early.

Noah Hudson earned the win, allowing two runs, one earned, over five innings while striking out four.

Kewaunee again showed off its aggressive base running, stealing eight bases in the nightcap, and finished with 13 hits. Diesel Bosdeck and Connor Kilgore each had multiple hits, while Brett Paulsen contributed on both offense and the base path.

Southern Door managed just three hits in the second game, with Brock Delveaux driving in a run.

Kewaunee is scheduled to host Gibraltar in its next game Tuesday, while Southern Door is set to face the Storm again in a rematch later this season.

The Kewaunee girls track team finished in the top spot at Thursday's Oconto Falls Panthers Invitational.

They held a 20 point edge on their hosts with 121 points with Hannah Miller (800m, 1600m, and triple jump), Alison Kuehl (100m hurdles), Natalie Miller (pole vault) and the 4x400m relay taking home wins.

The boys were edged from the top of the podium in several events with second place finishes from Joseph Schlies(800m), 4x800m relay, and Mitchell Boeder (shot put and discus).

The Kewaunee girls’ soccer team is on the road this Friday, as they are taking on the Peshtigo Bulldogs. 

Both teams are heading into this match-up looking to pick up their first win. The Storm aims to bounce back from a 13-0 loss to Cedar Grove, Belgium. 

The kick-off is at 6:00 p.m.
 

A decision weeks in the making was settled on Thursday with the Kewaunee baseball team finishing off a 13-0 win against NEW Lutheran.

The Storm had a commanding 11-0 lead entering the evening from its postponed game from April 9th. Doubles from Dane Harrell and Connor Kilgore scored the Storm's final two runs before the game ended in the fifth inning. 

The final boxscore shows that Diesel Bodeck and Peyton Schaller each tallied two hits while seven different Storm players drove in at least one run including a pair from Brett Paulsen. Waylon Delain earned the win, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out one.

The Eagles are back in action on Friday with a pair of games against Southern Door, who have hit their stride after picking up a doubleheader sweep of Sturgeon Bay on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
