The Kewaunee softball team got a strong performance from pitcher Jenna Rohr and did not need much more in a 6-0 win over Sturgeon Bay Thursday.

Rohr went the distance, allowing just three hits while striking out 14. The Storm scored two runs in the second inning on a single by Addie Gretz. Mykenzi Uhlers drove in the lone Storm tally in the fourth inning while the Storm plated three runs in the sixth to cap off the scoring.

Sierra Arneman, Caprice Carbajal, and  Lily Clement collected the hits for the Clippers.

Relays lead the way for Kewaunee boys' track team

The Kewaunee boys' 4x800m relay team won the day's big prize last Friday at the Two Rivers Invitational.

Storm baseball to face Two Rivers on the road

The Kewaunee Storm will get another crack at Two Rivers on Monday when they travel to Walsh Field.

The Storm's Cal Ihlenfeldt had a day to remember on Saturday, going 3-4 with a double and a pair of RBI and striking out the side in his one inning of work in a 5-3 victory over Gibraltar at Fox Cities Stadium. They were swept in a doubleheader by Southern Door late last week.

The Raiders snapped an eight-game losing streak last Wednesday with a 6-4 win over rival Valders.

First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

Storm softball can't get out of hole vs. Denmark

It was 8-0 before the Kewaunee Storm softball team could find the scoreboard for their own hopes as they lost 11-4 as a part of a triangular to Denmark on Saturday.

Jenna Rohr took the loss for the Storm, surrendering 10 of the 11 runs on 12 hits over six innings.

Baleigh Saxby and Taylor Schleis led the way offensively for the Storm with multiple hits. It was Saxby's ground out that got the Storm on the scoreboard for the first time in the game. The Storm staged a bit of a comeback in the later innings with Schleis, Rohr, and Toni Bortollini driving in the runs as they scored three times in the final two innings.

The Storm also played Shawano, but no results were shared.

Storm tops Vikings at Fox Cities Stadium

The Kewaunee Storm baseball team took advantage of the spacious confines at Fox Cities Stadium to beat Gibraltar 5-3 on Saturday.

The Vikings took an early 3-0 lead with two runs in the first inning and a single tally in the third. The Storm took the lead for good with a four-run fourth inning before tacking on an insurance run in the sixth inning.

The Storm used five different pictures to strike out 11 Vikings players. Cal Ihlenfeldt had a day to remember, going 3-4 with a double and a pair of RBI and striking out the side in his one inning of work. Three other Storm players registered multiple hits.

Nate Greene took the loss for the Vikings after giving up the four runs in the fourth inning. Ryan Jorgenson had two hits and Cooper Cole and Sam Lindenberg got RBI in the loss.
