The Kewaunee softball team's offense was in full force in its WIAA opener on Thursday as it beat Sturgeon Bay 17-0 in three innings.
The Storm scored five runs in the first inning and another 12 in the second to take the drama out of the proceedings early. Emily Todd went for 3-3 with a triple to lead the way for the Storm offensively. Todd, Mykenzi Uhlers, Lexie Hanrahan, and Jenna Rohr all scored multiple runs.
Rohr did her part on the mound, allowing just a single hit to McKenzie Burlo in the game.
The Storm advance to play top-seeded Chilton on Tuesday.
