Storm roll past Eagles on 104.1 WRLU

The hunt for perfection remains alive and well for the Kewaunee Storm, after rolling past Southern Door on Tuesday, with a 69-33 win as heard on 104.1 WRLU.

Kewaunee started strong, with four different players scoring the first four baskets of the game.  Southern Door matched the scoring efforts early, as Ryker Lohrey connected on a three pointer to keep pace with the Storm.  The Eagles defense made things difficult on the Kewaunee offense forcing a number of turnovers and missed shots.  Despite Southern Door's efforts though, Kewaunee still managed to take a 30-16 advantage into the locker room at halftime, with Diesel Bosdeck leading the way with 9 first half points.

Bosdeck opened the second half with a made three, followed by eight straight points from Connor Kilgore, to open the half on an 11-0 run before Southern Door got back on the scoreboard.  Even after the Eagles made a 3, Kewaunee padded its lead with another 10-0 to build the advantage and ultimately put the game out of reach.

Kilgore led the way with 20 points to pace the Storm, aided by 14 from Bosdeck, and 10 from Baylor Elliott to round out the double figure scorers.  Lohrey led Southern Door's efforts with 9 points.

The win clinches at least a share of the Packerland Conference Championship for Kewaunee. With one more win or Algoma loss, the Storm will clinch the outright title. Kewaunee will be back in action on Friday, traveling to Sturgeon Bay.
