Kewaunee's Mitchell Boeder is in line for another podium finish after advance to Friday night's semifinals at the WIAA State Tournament at the Kohl Center in Madison.

 

Boeder snuck out of the first round with a 2-0 decision before earning a pin in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals. Samuel Kraynik and Trevor Gauthier both dropped their first matches, but they still have the opportunity to wrestle their back into medal contention during Friday morning's consolation rounds.

 

On the girls' side,  Arianna Niemojuski was both sides of first period pins as she split her two matches on the opening day of the tournament.
