Storm boys travel to Peshtigo

The Kewaunee Storm boys basketball team will put its perfect conference record to the test Monday when it travels across the bay to face Peshtigo.

The Storm are a perfect 17-0 on the season, most recently defeating Algoma 65-44 behind 18 points from Diesel Bosdeck and 15 from Mason Kovacs.

Peshtigo used its defense and a strong offensive performance from Dominik Baxter to beat Gibraltar 72-45 last Friday. The Bulldogs held the Vikings scoreless from the field over the final 14-plus minutes, while Baxter scored 29 points and teammate Levi Hodgins added 17.

Peshtigo also gave Kewaunee its biggest scare of the conference season, as the Storm escaped with a 61-57 overtime win. Baxter accounted for 33 of the Bulldogs’ 57 points, while Bosdeck (16 points), Connor Kilgore (15) and Avery Jerabek (12) all scored in double figures for Kewaunee.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
