Strong senior send-off for Kewuanee girls

Kewaunee hosted Sturgeon Bay for their Senior Night and got to work right away ensuring their seniors would go out of the program the right way.

It will not be the final home game for the seniors and leading scorer Jade Kroll this season as post-season play will see them host at least one game, but the win is still meaningful.

Kewaunee almost put up 50 points in the first half, netting 49, on their way to a wire-to-wire, tempo controlled game and a lopsided 68-21 victory.

The pace slowed down significantly in the second half as Kewaunee controlled the game, but the Storm were resilient and remained dominant nonetheless.

Kewaunee will face Algoma on Feb 16 in a huge game with major implications that could give the Storm the opportunity to hold the Packerland Conference title all to themselves.

Sturgeon Bay will face N.E.W. Lutheran that same night, both tipping off at 7 p.m.
