Spartans welcome in Panthers Friday night

The Luxemburg Casco Spartans boys basketball team is coming off of a come from behind win over the Marinette Marines 55-49, and will shift their attention to Oconto Falls.

The Spartans are 1-1 this season after their season opening loss to the Kewaunee Storm, but were able to get to 1-0 in NEC play after the Marinette win. Luxemburg Casco is being led so far this season by Chase Bukouricz, who has averaged 16.5 points per game so far. The Spartans rebounded well after the opening game loss, and the Spartans will look to continue their NEC conference success.

The Panthers of Oconto Falls have gotten off to a slow start in the beginning of the season, with an 0-2 record and a 75-23 loss to Little Chute being the story of their season so far. Oconto Falls showed the ability to score in their opener against Menominee Indian, as the Panthers had four players in double figures, led by Alex Haines with 20.

Tip from Luxemburg Casco is set for 7:00 P.M.

The Marines' top wrestler last year, state qualifier Josh Walker, graduated after last season.
