Her throw of 37-9 came up just behind Campbellsport's Aubree Koenings' toss of 38-5 in the huge Division 2 field at UW-Oshkosh. According to the team's Facebook page, the boys and girls ran exceptionally well at the West De Pere Indoor meet in addition to the group of girls who traveled to UW-Oshkosh for the Indoor Invite, adding that they all did amazing.

The teams will be back in action Thursday at Seymour.

Former L-C star takes over Green Bay West football program

Former Luxemburg-Casco standout Drew Brusoe will take his crack at turning around the Green Bay West  football program.

Green Bay Press-Gazette reporter Scott Venci reported the move earlier the week after Brusoe had previous coaching stints at UW-Stevens Point and most recently at Stevens Point Pacelli. A two-time All-Bay Conference performer and its defensive player of the year in his senior year, Brusoe will try to get the Wildcats to have success they have not had in years. Since Brusoe graduated in 2012, the Wildcats have posted more winless seasons (five) then wins (four).

Brusoe's head coaching debut with the Wildcats will occur on August 19th against Sturgeon Bay according to WisSports.com.

L-C's Thiry commits to St. Norbert's

Luxemburg-Casco's Taylor Thiry will take her two-sport domination to college next year.

Thiry earlier this week signed her National Letter of Intent to compete in both basketball and track at St. Norbert College in De Pere next year.

Thiry set personal records in shot put (36' 5.75) and discus (107' 4) in last year's regional meet. She matched that personal record in the WIAA Sectional Meet but missed out on qualifying for state. Thiry also registered her 1,000th point of the season in basketball this past year while averaging 17.1 ppg and 12.1 rpg for the Spartans.

Spartans Track Round-Up: Larson captures indoor track win

Luxemburg-Casco's John Larson captured the only win for the track team at last week's invite hosted at UW-Oshkosh.

He captured first place in the 60 meter hurdles after finishing second in the hurdles. The boys would post five other top-10 performances in the indoor meet, scoring 13 points on the afternoon. The meet was dominated by Catholic Memorial, which scored 101 points.
