L-C boys cage Oconto falls

The Luxemburg-Casco High School boys basketball team defeated Oconto, 74-65, on Friday night. L-C had a nine-point lead at halftime and was able to sustain that despite a couple of runs by Oconto Falls. The Spartans were led by Logan Doell with 25. He was supported by Ryan Robillard who chipped in 18 points.

Luxemburg-Casco ends 2019 with a 4-1 record. Their first game following the holiday break is at Fox Valley Lutheran on January 3rd.

L-C girls can't slow down Clintonville

The Luxemburg-Casco High School girls basketball team fell short in completing a sweep of Clintonville Thursday night. On Wednesday, the boys team kept the Truckers in neutral but the tables were flipped for the girls contest, 61-41, in favor of Clintonville.

Things don’t get easier for the L-C girls after Christmas. Their next game is December 30th against Green Bay Southwest. The two teams do have a common opponent on the year. Both lost to Notre Dame but Southwest kept it close, 70-57. Luxemburg-Casco suffered an 85-14 defeat.

L-C boys dominate Clintonville

The Luxemburg-Casco High School boys basketball team never let Clintonville get out of first gear on Tuesday night. The Spartans topped the Truckers 71-38. Logan Doell led the Spartans with 27 points, 18 of those coming in the first half. Clintonville, as a team, managed 12 points in the opening frame. The Spartans supporting cast, while not as prolific as Doell on the score chart, certainly chipped in when defending their basket. The Truckers' lowest point total of the season before Tuesday was 57. It was a stifling Spartan effort.

L-C’s next game is Friday at Oconto Falls.
