Spartans boys look to get back in win column vs. Seymour

The Luxemburg-Casco basketball team hopes to start a new winning streak Tuesday when they welcome Freedom to the first half of a varsity basketball doubleheader.

Their 53-46 loss to Denmark last Friday night snapped a two-game winning streak for the Spartans. Jack Rollin scored a team-high 11 points, while Lance Cherovsky added 10 points in the defeat that sent the Spartans to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the NEC Conference.

The Thunder are off to a 2-6 start, dropping four of their last five games. They have played better in their last three games, losing their games to New London and Menasha by a combined six points. Tru Cornell leads the team in scoring (14.0 ppg) and rebounding (4.4 rpg), while tied for the lead in assists (2.0 apg).

Tip-off will be a special time of 6 p.m. as they played before the girls' game on Alumni night.
