New Athletic Director Ben Kline and incoming Superintendent Kevin Krutzik have plenty of work ahead of them as they look to fill several positions.
The carousel started earlier this year when Mark Jonas announced he was leaving his posts at Southern Door to become the head football coach at Green Bay Preble. Scott Mallien in the weeks after to be the new head football coach with Kline taking over Jonas' athletic duties. Reporting out Green Bay on Thursday said that Jonas was out as the Preble football coach due to unknown reasons. Jonas, who took Southern Door School District to court over the possible release of personnel files, was under the impression that he could get a teaching job at the school. He was informed this week that he was not getting one of the open positions, and the offer to coach the team had been rescinded.
Varsity wrestling coach Jerry Englebert announced shortly after the season ended that he would not continue in that capacity. That jobs remains open after Southern Door hired Englebert's assistant, Scott Biemeret, to be the head coach for the girls' program.
Alyssa Conway was announced in May as the new head girls' basketball coach after the resignation of Andy Bruess.
Head baseball coach John Berns resigned before the end of their season.
More recently, Courtney Renard submitted her resignation as the Eagles softball coach.
