The Southern Door Eagles could not get their running game going and could not stop Coleman’s in a 44-0 defeat Friday night on 102.1 MORE FM. In the second quarter, Bintz and Zach Cops would score on touchdowns from inside the 10-yard line to make it 24-0 at the half. Owen Kinziger and Tyler Blanchard would add third-quarter scores before Zach Cops added his second touchdown of the game in the closing minutes. Culver's Student Athlete of the Week: Southern Door's Nick Baudhuin

He may have not known before walking off the field last Friday where he would be in Southern Door football lore, but junior Nick Baudhuin is not a stranger to the running backs that came before him. Baudhuin broke the school’s single-game rushing yards record and tied another for rushing touchdowns in a game against Crivitz when he galloped for 403 yards on 37 carries and six scores. The man who owned the record he broke, former NFL lineman Jim Flanigan, has his jersey hanging in Southern Door’s weight room. Baudhuin also struck up friendships with former Eagles players that also dominated the position, including current Minnesota walk-on Derik LeCaptain. After the game, Baudhuin says he gave the credit to the guys ahead of him.

Also competing in basketball and track at Southern Door, Baudhuin says his favorite subject in school is science and has not yet thought of what he wants to do after high school. Southern Door’s next game is this Friday against Coleman.
