Gibraltar's Reinhardt shines in WFCA 8-Man Football All-Star game

Former Gibraltar quarterback Trevor Reinhardt had an impressive end to his high school football career in the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Game Saturday in Oshkosh.

Reinhardt had a hand in all three WFCA South scores in a 21-6 win cut short due to weather. Reinhardt scampered for a one-yard score in the opening five minutes and threw a 48-yard touchdown pass to Port Edwards' Addison Gibbs a few minutes later. He would cap off his offensive production with another touchdown, ending the day completing 12 passes for just 205 yards while rushing for another seven.  Reinhardt's cousin and Gibraltar lineman Griffin also played in the game.

The three-game WFCA All Star Weekend raised over $370,000 for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, including $15,015 by Door County athletes.

Gibraltar's recent history of offensive success

Gibraltar has recently taken the football field with a great offense. Last year, Trevor Reinhardt threw for 2,158 yards and Alex Laughlin was a big playmaker leading the team in rushing and receiving yards. In recent years this has been a trend for the Vikings. Back in 2013, Gibraltar had four players get over 500 yards receiving for the season catching passes from Nick Kita. Those four were Matt Andersen (811 yards, Kyle Keehan (633 yards), Austin Bauldry (613 yards. He also led the team in rushing yards) and Brandon LeClair (512 yards).

They were the four potential answers to Saturday's trivia question. Congratulations to Mary Witteborg for answering correctly! Her answer was Austin Bauldry. Mary is the winner of a $25 certificate to the Sister Bay Mobil.
