Jennerjohn And Berns Represent Clippers At Fox Valley Senior All-Star Games

Anthony Jennerjohn and John Berns were in opposite dugouts for a Fox Valley Senior All-Star Game on Sunday, August 8th at Fox Cities Stadium. Berns was one of three coaches for Team Black who defeated Jennerjohn's Team Cardinal 5-3. Anthony pitched the 7th inning for Team Cardinal, allowing 1 run on 2 hits, but made some quality pitches to escape a no-out situation with runners on 2nd and 3rd to shut down a rally. Berns' Team Black was led by Carter Stebane of Brillion with 2 stolen bases and 2 runs scored. Derek Weber of DePere keyed a 3-run 4th inning with an RBI double and later scored a run with some heady baserunning. Brock Smejkal of Clintonville got the pitching win, with Jack McKellips of Oshkosh Lourdes earning the save.

Coach John Berns got the rare opportunity to complete his high school coaching career with a victory, having started at Sevastopol in 1994 and finishing at Sturgeon Bay in 2021. John would like to thank all the coaches and players from high school teams throughout Wisconsin for playing a role in making his coaching career so memorable.
