Clippers sunk by Oaks

A 22-point first quarter put the game out of reach early for Sturgeon Bay in its 42-6 loss to Oakfield Friday night.

Jack Fox scored his first of two rushing touchdowns on the game's opening drive en route to a 117-yard day. Grant Bass hurt the Clippers on both sides of the ball in the game's opening frame, returning a fumble 46 yards for a defensive score and getting the ball into the endzone on the ground a few minutes later. The Oaks would add touchdowns in the second, third, and fourth quarters. The Clippers finally got on the scoreboard in the final two minutes of the game when Braden Haines scored on a one-yard touchdown run.

The Clippers travel to St. Mary Catholic this Friday night.
