There will be new faces on the sidelines for some Sturgeon Bay athletics squads this coming school year.

Stephen Jacobson was reccommended to fill the open Assistant Football coaching position after Nick Kita resigned from the post at the end of the school year.  

Krista Moyer and Kelly Oram-Rankin to take the reins of the Varsity Girls Swim coaching position. According to the district, the pair will act as co-head coaches and split the appropriate
coaching stipend.

Sturgeon Bay athletes can count on at least a couple overnight trips before a trip to state is earned.

The school board was asked to approve four road-trips for the 2020-2021 school year that would require overnight stays. Those events include:

• Varsity Boys Soccer: Tournament at the Prairie School in Racine September 4-5, 2020
• Varsity Boys Soccer: Tournament at Cedarburg High School September 25-26, 2020
• Varsity Wrestling: “War on the Shore” Holiday Wrestling Tournament at UW-Oshkosh December 28-29, 2020
• Varsity Girls Soccer: Tournament at Pius XI High School in Milwaukee May 14-15, 2021

Fundraising will be a part of the equation to fund these trips since the school district does not use tax dollars to pay for accommodations or upgrades in transportation.
