Sturgeon Bay athletes can count on at least a couple overnight trips before a trip to state is earned.
The school board was asked to approve four road-trips for the 2020-2021 school year that would require overnight stays. Those events include:
- Varsity Boys Soccer: Tournament at the Prairie School in Racine September 4-5, 2020
- Varsity Boys Soccer: Tournament at Cedarburg High School September 25-26, 2020
- Varsity Wrestling: “War on the Shore” Holiday Wrestling Tournament at UW-Oshkosh December 28-29, 2020
- Varsity Girls Soccer: Tournament at Pius XI High School in Milwaukee May 14-15, 2021
Fundraising will be a part of the equation to fund these trips since the school district does not use tax dollars to pay for accommodations or upgrades in transportation.
