After losing their first match of the tournament, the Algoma volleyball bounced back to win their final two at the Reedsville Invite this weekend.

Game 1: Algoma Loss Vs Marshfield 11-25, 23-25

Game 2: Algoma Win Vs Mishicot  25-17, 25-27, 15-9

Game 3: Algoma Win Vs Roncalli  25-21, 25-9

Leading the way for the Wolves was Jadyn Nellis (10 Aces, 12 Digs, 5 Kills, 21 Receptions), Olivia Cabino (15 Digs. 39 Receptions), MyLee Jones (15 Digs, 13 Aces, 12 Kills, 32 Receptions), and Maisen Luedke (14 Digs, 9 Aces, 15 Assists, 4 Kills).

The Algoma cross country teams went north to open their season at the Chief Kahquados Invitational in Fish Creek on Thursday.

After only having a couple of girls on the team last year, the Wolves fielded enough to take fourth overall as a team, led by Sierra Slaby. Alex Kirchman earned a Top 20 place as the only boy on the team.

The Algoma Wolves fought until the bitter end, but ultimately fell to Oneida Nation/NEW Lutheran 36-28 in triple overtime.

The game went back and forth all night long until Bryce Leibzeit’s interception in the Wolves' final possession sealed their fate.

The Wolves head to Fish Creek next Friday for a matchup against Gibraltar.
