Wolves looking for first win, battle Storm

Algoma will hit the road in pursuit of the first win on their alternative Spring volleyball season Thursday in Kewaunee. The Wolves have played sets close but are yet to take home a match win. This will be the first meeting between the Packerland foes. Algoma lost to Gibraltar the last time they took the court. Kewaunee on the other hand handed Algoma a loss in five sets their last time out. The game is set to begin in Kewaunee at 6:00 PM.

Algoma volleyball set to host Sturgeon Bay

The Algoma Wolves volleyball team will look for their first conference win of the season when they host Sturgeon Bay on Monday night.

 

The Wolves have nine of its ten sets so far this season, including being swept by Sevastopol its last time out 25-16,25-14,25-21. The Clippers rebounded from its first loss of the season to Southern Door with a 3-1 win over Sevastopol last Thursday 25-10, 21-25, 25-23, 26-24.

 

The opening serve is set for 7 p.m.

Algoma ready for early season rematch

The Algoma Wolves have played just one volleyball game this season, and it was against the Southern Door Eagles. In game two on Thursday, they will already get their rematch. Algoma will get to be the home team for Thursday’s matchup. The Eagles took down the Wolves in three sets on March 4th, winning the sets 25-14, 25-16, and 25-23. Algoma will try and build confidence from that last set where they lost narrowly and try to win the rebuttal. Southern Door is coming off of a win versus Ashwaubenon in four sets. The Eagles are 2-0 and will try to pull off the early sweep in this alternative season series. The game is set for Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M.
