Southern Door kept its season alive Tuesday night, sweeping Mishicot 3-0 in the opening round of the WIAA girls volleyball regional tournament.
The Eagles faced a challenge in the opening two sets but came through in both, edging the Indians 25-22 in the first before holding on for a 25-23 victory in the second to take a commanding 2-0 match lead.
Southern Door carried that momentum into the third set, pulling away for a 25-16 win to complete the sweep and advance to the next round.
Harper Kramer led with 23 assists and Maiya Olson led with 11 kills. The teams passing and serving helped us stay on track and put each set away.
The victory improves Southern Door to 14-13 overall and extends its winning streak to two matches, while Mishicot finishes its season at 12-23 after dropping its final three contests.
The Eagles will look to keep their postseason run going in the next round of WIAA regional play.
