DCU comes up short against

The Door County United (DCU) girls high school swim team put up a good fight against  Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School on Thursday, September 3rd. Wittenberg-Birnamwood scored 87 points, and DCU scored 68 points.

 

Highlights of the night included freshman Ashlyn Sixel (SDHS) placing first in the 200-yard freestyle, scoring six points for the team. She was aided by Quinn Sperber (SDHS), who later placed first in the 100-yard backstroke, scoring six more points for the team. DCU also placed first in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay, consisting of Sperber (SDHS), Rachel Rock (SEV), Jillian Peterson (SDHS), and Sixel (SDHS) placed first, adding eight points to the overall score.

 

DCU will travel to Ashwaubenon High School on Saturday, September 12th, to compete at the Jaguar Invitational for their next meet.
