Eagles baseball host Wolves

The Southern Door baseball team will welcome Algoma to Brussels for a 4:30 p.m. doubleheader on Tuesday.

The Eagles are looking for their first win this month after dropping its last two games against Sevastopol. The Eagles were highlighted by five walks on the evening preventing the perfect game in Friday's 12-0 loss.

The Wolves earned a split against Sturgeon Bay in their last action last Friday, beating them 6-5 in game one before falling 4-3 in game two. In game one, Cayden Neuzil's walk-off single proved to be the difference after the Clippers plated three runs in their half of the seventh inning to tie it. Cal DeMeuse had four hits in the game while Neuzil and Jacob Massey each had a pair of RBI. Braeden Leist allowed one run (0 ER) on two hits in one inning of relief to earn the win. In game two, the Clippers scored four runs in the fifth after the Wolves plated three runs in the third to prevent the doubleheader sweep. Dylan Seiler went 2-4 while three others recorded hits. Massey took the loss on the mound, allowing four runs (4 ER) on four hits to spoil an eight strikeout day.
