Eagles softball dazzles on both sides of the ball for big win over Pioneers

Southern Door wasted no time Tuesday, jumping all over Sevastopol from the jump and cruising to a 14-0 win on the road.

The Eagles put six on the board in the first inning alone. Lilly Vandertie got things started with a two-run shot to left, and Samantha Melville followed with a two-run double to keep it rolling.

Melville did it all, tossing four scoreless innings with five strikeouts while going 2-for-4 with three RBIs at the plate. Alanah Kaye led the offense with three hits, and Harper Kramer and Grace Vogel each went deep. Southern Door finished with 15 hits and didn't commit an error.
