The Southern Door softball team is taking on the Kewaunee Storm for a doubleheader at home this Thursday.
The Eagles aim to build off a pair of wins over Sturgeon Bay. In the first game, the Eagles opened with a seven-run first inning, highlighted by a two-run inside-the-park home run from Lilly Vandertie. The second matchup was similar, with the Eagles taking a 12-0 lead in the second inning, leading to a 21-0 victory.
The Storm are also coming off a pair of wins, taking down Algoma in a doubleheader. In game one, the Storm controlled things from the start in a 7-0 shutout. Breanna Riha led the way both at the plate and in the circle, tossing a complete game while adding two hits. The Storm followed up with a 6-4 victory in game two.
The first pitch is at 4:30 p.m.
