The Southern Door softball team was outhit 12-3 in its 5-1 loss to Appleton North.

Evelyn Frega kept things under control for the Lightning, striking out 15 Eagles batters while allowing just one run (0 ER) on three hits and three walks. That lone run came in the seventh inning when Grace Vogel reached on an error, allowing Alanah Kaye to score. 

Kaye took the loss from the circle, allowing five runs (4 ER) on 10 hits while striking out five. Brianna Gehrman delivered the biggest blow against Kaye with a two-run homer in the third inning. Drew Brown also had a big night for the Lightning, going 4-4 with one RBI.
