The Southern Door softball team hopes their offensive prowess makes the trip with them again on Monday when they visit Appleton North.
In their 24-0 win over Weyauwega-Fremont, the Eagles wasted no time getting on the board putting up 10 runs in each of the first two innings and capping it off with a 4-run third. Harper Kramer, Audrey Plzak, and Grace Gutschow all drove in four runs and Kramer finished the day 4-for-4 at the plate with 4 runs scored. In the circle, Alanah Kaye earned the win tossing three shutout innings while allowing just two hits and striking out six. She faced 12 batters in the game, needing just 49 pitches.
The Lightning have won four of their first five games, but that blemish came in their last game against Seymour where they lost 6-0. They had score 10 runs or more in three of their first four games.
First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
