Southern Door softball flooded the hit column Tuesday afternoon in Weyauwega to stay in line with the floods actually happening across the state of Wisconsin. Only three-innings were needed in the 24-0 win.
The Eagles (2-0) wasted no time getting on the board putting up 10 runs in each of the first two innings and capping it off with a 4-run third. Harper Kramer, Audrey Plzak, and Grace Gutschow all drove in four runs and Kramer finished the day 4-for-4 at the plate with 4 runs scored.
In the circle, Alanah Kaye earned the win tossing three shutout innings while allowing just two hits and striking out six. She faced 12 batters in the game, needing just 49 pitches.
A dominant victory for Southern Door should propel them into a road matchup with Appleton North Monday Apr. 20 at 4 p.m.
