Eagles push Bulldogs to the limit
Southern Door girls basketball has seen an increase in competitiveness in their last two games and against Peshtigo Saturday they took a lead going into halftime, 28-25.
Offensively, the Eagles moved the ball well and got good looks that they were able to convert into quick buckets at crucial times helping to stretch a 5-point lead in the first half and hold the advantage at the break.
However, in the second half, Peshtigo took control and a run late in the second half to run away with the game, 59-49. The Bulldogs used strong defensive possessions to allow for more opportunities which they ultimately converted.
The Eagles continue to see growth and will be on the road Tuesday at Roncalli (1-13) looking for their second win of the season as the game tips at 7 p.m.
