Peshtigo dominates for boys cross country Packerland title; Southern Door runner-up

The Peshtigo Bulldogs claimed the boys Packerland Conference cross country championship behind a dominant showing that saw five runners finish inside the top seven. The Bulldogs finished with 19 team points to take first, followed by Southern Door with 46 and Kewaunee with 91. Oconto (103) and Sturgeon Bay (113) rounded out the top five.

 

Sevastopol’s Aaron Tomaszewski won the individual conference title, crossing the line first in 17:48.4. Graham Devoe of Gibraltar finished second in 18:00.0, and Dominik Baxter of Peshtigo was third in 18:12.7.

 

For Peshtigo, Liam Smith (4th, 18:13.9), Andrew Halfmann (6th, 18:31.0), and Eli Berndt (7th, 18:38.0) helped lock in the team victory.

 

Southern Door was led by Colton Valley (5th, 18:28.1) and Owen Larios Amezquita (8th, 18:46.5), followed by Reese Sund (13th, 19:26.8) and Joel Moyer (14th, 19:32.9).

 

Sturgeon Bay’s top finisher was Atticus Haus (15th, 19:39.9), while Deacon Haus (18th, 20:02.0) and Trevor Nimmer (34th, 22:53.5) rounded out the Clippers’ scoring effort.

 

Kewaunee was paced by Gage Vlies (16th, 19:42.1) and Andrii Dzoma (19th, 20:13.2), and Oconto was led by Davis Knoll (17th, 19:52.6).
