DCU takes fifth at Panther Invite

The Door County United (DCU) Girls High School Swim Team placed 5th overall at Plymouth High School Invite on Saturday, September 27th. Nine teams competed in the invite, including the Division 1 team, Oregon High School, who took first place.

 

Freshman Hazel Monofils (SDHS) was the top finisher of the day with her 3rd place finish in the 100-yard Breaststroke.

 

Her efforts were supported by senior Chloe Bissen (SBHS) with her 4th place finish in the 100 yard Butterfly and 6th place finish in the 200 yard Individual Medley.

 

Caralee Fellner (freshman-SEV) also helped assist the team, bringing in an additional four points with her 15th-place finish in both the 50-yard Freestyle and the 100-yard Breaststroke.

 

The 200-yard Medley Relay contributed to the team score, adding 30 points. Quinn Sperber (sophomore-SDHS), Monofils, Bissen, and Kailyn Neville (senior-SDHS) made up the 4th place relay.

 

The DCU Swim Team travels to Shawano High School to take on the Shawano Bonduel Co-Op for their next conference meet on Thursday, October 2nd.
