The Southern Door girls' cross country team nearly took the top spot in Thursday's Jim Bremser Invitational in Mishicot.
Boosted by top 20 finishes from Malania Veeser, Emma Bousley, and Addison Miller, the Eagles girls took second place overall, coming up just short of overtaking Kewaunee for the team title. The trio all broke 22 minutes in the race.
For the boys, Owen Larios Amezquita ran a 5K time of 18:50 to come in 17th place to lead the Eagles.
