The Southern Door Eagles volleyball team is set to compete in a highly anticipated tournament this Saturday in Clintonville. Joining Southern Door will be Iola-Scandinavia, Laona-Webeno, Ripon, Shawano Community, St. Mary’s Catholic, and Valders. This tournament provides a crucial opportunity for the Eagles to regroup after a hard-fought match against Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, where they ultimately fell short in a grueling five-set battle. Despite the outcome, individual performances highlighted the team's potential. Senior Alanah Kaye delivered a strong offensive showing, contributing 7 kills, an ace, and assisting on a block. On the defensive end, Chelsia Jacquet was a dominant force at the net, leading the team with an impressive 5 total blocks. Furthermore, senior Alanna Paye anchored the back row with 18 digs, showcasing her defensive instincts.
