Eagles cross country set to fly at Sheboygan Area Lutheran

Southern Door Cross Country is back in action on Tuesday, competing against a wide field of local and regional teams.

 

Eagles head coach Andy Bruess recently shared insights into the team, emphasizing their strong work ethic, dedication to completing daily runs, and exceptional camaraderie. Bruess also highlighted the significant positive influence of senior leaders, as well as the promising talent of younger athletes who are determined to make their mark. As they prepare for the upcoming race, the team aims to build on their recent success at the Chilton meet, where the girls' team secured an impressive first-place finish and the boys' team achieved a solid fourth. Andy Bruess further detailed the team's practice schedule in preparation for tomorrow, which includes a balanced mix of long runs to build endurance, tempo runs to improve speed and stamina, and track workouts. The Eagles join local squads Algoma, Gibraltar, Kewaunee, and Sevastopol along with Campbellsport, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Heritage Christian, Hilbert, Horicon, Kettle Moraine Lutheran, Kohler, Laconia, Living World Lutheran, Manitowoc Lutheran, Milwaukee Lutheran, Oostburg, Ozaukee, Pardeeville, Providence Academy, Racine Lutheran, Random Lake, Reedsville, Roncalli, St. Lawrence Seminary, St. Mary’s Springs Academy, Sheboygan Christian, Valley Christian, Washington County Home School Athletics, and Winnebago Lutheran Academy at the meet hosted by Sheboygan Area Lutheran. The first races begin at 4:30 p.m.
