The Southern Door Eagles cross country teams competed against teams from across northeast Wisconsin and all divisions on Thursday at the De Pere Invitational, which was hosted at UWGB's Shorewood Cross Country Course.
Owen Larios Amezquita ran a time of 19:20 to lead the Eagles boys to a 22nd place finish. He was one of three Eagles runners to break the 20 minute barrier for the 5K distance.
Malaina Veeser snuck under 21 minutes in the girls' 5K race to finish in 27th place overall. The team finished in 11th place overall.
