Errors Doom Eagles on U-102.1

The Southern Door Eagles season came to a close Thursday night at the hands of the Mishicot Indians 4-2 on U-1021 in Brussels. 

 

The Indians would score in the top of the first inning and add a few more in the 3rd to take a 4-0 lead into the fifth inning. All four of the Indians runs came across via errors. With the Indians threatening to score more with two on nobody out, Tyler Neinas would replace Drew Daoust on the mound for the Eagles shutting down the threat by Mishicot.

 

The Eagles would start to chip away in the bottom of the fifth when Nick Beck reached on a leadoff double. He would come around to score three batters later on a Tyler Neinas single. Then in the bottom of the sixth inning Isaac Baudhuin would have a leadoff single and come around to score on a Mason Paye sacrifice fly. the Eagles would bring the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the seventh with nobody out, but back-to- back-to-back strikeouts ended the game and the Eagles season.
