The Southern Door softball team opens WIAA Tournament play on Tuesday with a home game against Chilton on U-102.1

The Eagles won four of its final seven games to end the season with a 13-7 mark, finishing including 8-3 in the Packerland Conference to take second place. In their final game before the tournament, the Eagles prevailed against fellow Door County team Southern Door 10-6. In the win, Alanah Kaye hit two home runs at the plate and struck out 13 from the circle. Madison Counard, Samantha Melville, and Kaye all had two hits.

The Tigers finished their season with a 14-10 mark and a 9-5 mark in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference. They won 7 of their final 10 games heading into the tournament, including a 7-4 win over New Holstein.

Tim Kowols and Jacob Nate will have the call beginning at 4:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first pitch at 4:30 p.m.
