On Monday night, a six-run rally doomed the Southern Door softball team as they fell to Seymour 10-6 on the road.

The Eagles found themselves down 2-0 when they scored their first run in the fourth inning when Samantha Melville stole home with Alanah Paye at the plate. After giving up two more runs in the fifth inning, the Eagles tied the game with three runs in the sixth inning thanks to two errors and a run-scoring single off the bat of Lexi Tassoul. The momentum swung hard the other way in the bottom of the inning as the Thunder scored six times with back-to-back extra base hits and an error the biggest blows. A bases-loaded walk and a single by Ava Uecker got two of the runs back, but still left the Eagles short in the end. 

Kaye, Tassoul, and Aubrey Plzak all had two hits in the game for the Eagles. The team's defense committed five errors on the night, leading to four unearned runs.
