The Southern Door baseball team lost both games against Oconto on Friday, 9-3 and 3-1.
In the first game, the Blue Devils put up crooked numbers in three different innings, highlighted by a four-run second inning where Bryce Knoll cleared the bases with a triple that scored three runs. The Eagles scored all of their runs in the fifth inning on a two-run single from Tyler Neinas and another run-scoring single from Isaac Baudhuin. Baudhuin took the loss on the mound, allowing nine runs (7 ER) on eight hits in six innings of work. Six different Eagles tallied hits in the loss.
In the second game, the Eagles could not scratch across a run until sixth inning when they were down 3-0 after the Blue Devils scored single runs in the second, fourth, and fifth innings. That's when a ball hit by Mason Paye was mishandled, allowing Collin Everard to score. Five different Eagles registered hits as Paye took the loss on the mound.
