The Southern Door softball team jumped out to a 8-0 lead and put the final touches on the game in the sixth inning in a 10-0 win over Crivitz on Thursday.
Ashlyn Delfosse got the rout started with the first of her four RBI in the opening inning with a single before an error and Aubrey Plzak single made it 3-0. Delfosse made it 5-0 with a two-run double in the second while Madison Counard and Reese Vogel slapped back-to-back doubles to make it 8-0 after three innings. A RBI fielder's choice off of Delfosse's bat and a Lexi Tassoul single allowed the game to end early in the sixth inning. Counard, Samantha Melville, Delfosse, and Plzak all posted multi-hit games to complement Alanah Kaye's no-hitter that featured 12 strikeouts.
They are back in action this afternoon at 3:45 p.m. when they play a twin bill against Oconto Falls.
