The Southern Door baseball team scored seven runs in the top of the seventh, only to be walked off in the bottom half by a 12-11 score Tuesday afternoon.
Trailing 10-4 entering the seventh inning, the Eagles mounted a serious comeback thanks partly to run-scoring singles from Isaac Baudhuin, Collin Everard, and a RBI double by Braylon Berg. The Bulldogs loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh, setting the stage for Ezra Proft's heroics with a two-run, game-winning single.
The loss spoiled a three-hit, three-RBI night from Berg and multi-RBI nights from Tyler Neinas and Baudhuin. Drew Daoust and Baudhuin each had two hits.
The Eagles return to action on Friday when Sturgeon Bay comes to town for a 5 p.m. first pitch. Jacob Nate will have the call on U-102.1 and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 4:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first pitch at 5 p.m.
