Eagle Victory Caps Regular Season on U102.1

Even with a playoff spot already guaranteed, the Eagles were not content. They handled the Mishicot Indians 34-6 under the lights in Brussels Friday night.

Southern Door scored all the touchdowns in the first half, both through the air and on the ground. Daoust found Braylon Berg for a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter, one from 61 yards and another from 36 yards. In the second quarter, Daoust added a 10-yard rushing touchdown and found Lauden Berg from 6 yards out, setting the halftime score at 24-0.

The teams swapped scores in the second half. Mishicot scored first in the third quarter via a Ben Backus 15-yard rush. In the fourth quarter, Southern Door scored its final touchdown of the regular season when Daoust hit Lauden Berg from 41 yards out. Grant Webber added the two-point try, putting the game's final score at 34-6.

All that is left now is the waiting game as each team awaits what may be ahead as WIAA playoff brackets will be announced Saturday Morning.
