The Southern Door softball team could not hold onto a 7-2 lead as they lost to Green Bay Southwest on the road 11-9 on Saturday.

The two teams went back and forth early with the Eagles scoring three times in the first and third innings while the Trojans took bites out of the advantage each time in their own half of the inning. Ashlyn Delfosse, Hailey Veeser, and Abi Tooley collected RBI hits in the game's first three innings to stake the team to a 7-5 lead halfway home. After the Trojans tied the game in the fifth inning, the Eagles responded with two runs in the sixth inning when Delfosse's sacrifice fly brought home one run and a Veeser single drove in another. The Trojans would take the game in their half of the sixth as four runs crossed.

Sophia Counard, Madyson Counard, and Veeser all had multi-hit games for the Eagles in the loss. Alannah Kaye came up on the losing end, giving up four runs (4 ER) in her 1 2/3 innings of relief.
