Eagles boys survive to keep perfect Packerland record

The Southern Door Eagles had to fight hard to stay perfect in the Packerland Conference on the final day of the regular season, edging Oconto 76-74.

The game featured two of the conference's most dangerous scorers, the Eagles' Drew Daoust and the Blue Devils' Carter Koch. Both players scored approximately half of their team's points in the opening period, leaving the Eagles up 42-40 at the break. The Eagles would hold onto that advantage in the second half, with Daoust piling up 39 points in the victory. Tyler Neinas complemented Daoust with 19 points in the game, including 14 in the first half. The Eagles also got 10 points from Caden Pierre. In addition to Koch's 29 points, Trenton Hartmann and Daniel Alwin poured in 14 points a piece in the loss for the Blue Devils.
