The Southern Door Eagles tightened its grip on the Packerland Conference with a 72-52 win over NEW Lutheran Monday night.

The Eagles made the Blazers chase them the whole night, taking a 35-27 lead into the locker room, and only extended that lead more in the second half.

Drew Daoust turned in another vintage performance, scoring 34 points with three three-points and a pair of "and-1s." Caden Pierre knocked down a trio of shots from behind the arc to complement Daoust with 17 points while Matthew Malvitz added six points, and Will Jandrin chipped in another five points. Griffin Steffel scored 21 points and Reid Nelson registered 11 points in the loss for the Blazers.

The Eagles will play at Oconto on Thursday.
