Southern Door High School

Individual Milestone and Eagle Victory on U-102.1

It may have been an Algoma home game, but the Southern Door fan base traveled well to support Junior Drew Daoust and his quest for 2000 points.  Fans were treated to that 2000-point milestone and a 66-45 Southern Door victory.

It would take Drew nearly nine minutes to reach his newest milestone, but after a short standing ovation from both Southern Door and Algoma fans, he would continue to put on the type of show that got him and his Eagle teammates to this point.  Daoust would be the night's leading scorer, putting 35 points on the board.  Mathew Malvitz would contribute many rebounds and added 12 points of his own.

On the Algoma side, Parker Lischka would struggle in the first half, scoring just two points, but would go on a streak in the second half, ending his night with 19 total points, which led the way for the Wolves.  Grant Vanvdervest and Chase Romdenne would each add 7.

Each team awaits their next games on Tuesday night as the Wolves look to get back in the win column when they travel to Sturgeon Bay and Southern Door continues their quest for the Packerland conference title as they play host to Gibraltar.
